The EDC and other economic development offices around the state need your help!
Do you care about the work the EDC does to help our community recover, and to grow family-wage jobs?
Everything we do is partly funded through “Point 09” funds, which will expire next year if the Washington State Senate does not renew it through HB 1333.
These funds pay for EDC staff in our office and in offices around the state. We use the funds to create Trades Training programs and to offer free counseling to our struggling businesses. Our local governments also pay for critically needed infrastructure improvements here and in rural counties all over Washington.
Without these funds, our own programs will be sunk, as well as programs for businesses and workers in rural Washington.
Sunk for the programs that we’ve launched using .09 funds, like our Trades Training Initiative, and our new Tech Training Accelerator Initiative. Sunk for critically necessary business programs for our still-struggling businesses.
